The Future of Medicine

I do not like change. Yes, I know I am mutable watery Pisces on the cusp of Aries. Yet there is a Venusian Taurus ascendant that just resists it with everything I have. I am the kind of gal who would be peeved for just an instant if you told me I won a bizillion dollars in the lotto, because it would screw up my plans for the day.

With this factiod in my mind I begrudingly was forced to switch my health care to Kaiser. I was not pleased. Not at all. Today was my first appointment and I must say that at first blush I am QUITE pleased.

There has been a ton of magick thrown at my health issues and so I am not surprised that I really like my doctor. When I first got there the nurse who greeted me had a visible but subtle lesbian tattoo. I was pleased to see that your work and not your sexual choices were what mattered in that office. The doctor was great and she took one look at my issues and set me up with a specialist. I was also pleased to find out that they do work with UCSF and so if I have anything blow up that is where they would send me. Curiouser and curiouser.

The whole process from the offices to the lab to the pharmacy were right there and took less than an hour and a half for the whole thing.

At first blush if this is the face of socialized medicine please sign me up for more.

I'm sure we can both agree that tattoos are better to get than open heart surgery scars ;-) Stay healthy, the world needs more folks like you.

I have never gotten a tattoo but that might change :) My mom got one a few years ago, so here is still hope for me yet.

Thank you for the warm wishes. It is my sincere hope to indeed stay VERY VERY healthy. It makes the universe easier to deal with :)
